Bronco | 5Live At The BBC

Dateline: May 20th, 2011
Hidden Masters will be releasing – as a limited edition – Bronco's only known live recording.

It was originally recorded for BBC In Concert With John Peel during January, 1971 and broadcast at the end of that month (twice) in mono. This is, therefore, the first time that this recording will ever have been heard in stereo.

The 2011 edition is being issued by arrangement with BBC Music and has been remastered from the original analog tapes.

Neither Woodstock or Talking Jack Humphries were recorded in the studio (even as demos); indeed both songs only appeared infrequently in the band's live set.

Details of pricing and formats will be annouced shortly.

Today, in 1934, the notorious bank robber, John Dillinger (otherwise known as Johnny Depp) was shot and killed by US federal agents outside of Chicago's Biograph Theater, where he had just watched Clark Gable in Manhattan Melodrama.

And... auspicious or otherwise, today marks the first airing of www.jessroden.com

Over the coming weeks and month (and years!), the site will be continually updated – there will always be more information to gather and post...

This isn't the end; merely the end of the beginning.
